Children think about what they do when they leave school at the end of the day. They create pictures and write captions to represent their lives today and start a timeline to represent a typical day.
Teaching Outcomes
To read a mysterious message and write in sentences using correct punctuation to respond to message.
To create a time line to represent one day and so become aware of how time passes, morning to afternoon to evening to night time.
Children will:
- Write captions or short narratives using capital letters correctly.
- Learn the three uses of capital letters.
- Read the days of the week.
- Become aware of the passing of time, daily and weekly.
