Hamilton English

Hamilton's single- and mixed-age plans and resources cover all aspects of English, including SPAG, within the context of a wide range of fiction, non-fiction and poetry genres, such as traditional tales, recounts and performance poems.

Lesson planning - flexible blocks or weekly plans

Integrated teaching of comprehension, grammar and writing that covers the statutory objectives of the National Curriculum for England lies at the heart of Hamilton English. Our approach is grounded in our belief that it is vital that we teach children to read and write with competence and confidence, while facilitating their desire to do so.

Devised by highly experienced English specialists, Hamilton's English resources offer grammar teaching within a context of stimulating texts that extend understanding and inspire children's own writing. This planning is available in two formats - flexible blocks and weekly plans - both of which start with high quality texts to facilitate learning. Our weekly plans are effective sequences of unified English lessons. Our flexible blocks enable you to focus your teaching on one or another of the aspects of English (comprehension, grammar or writing), without excluding the other aspects. Grammar teaching is presented through easy-to-use slide presentations for your interactive whiteboard.
