Cover the KS1 and KS2 computing curriculum

Hamilton provide a number of topics that cover the objectives of the computing curriculum whilst also engaging children in hands-on creative activities.

Each of Hamilton's cross-curricular topics provides teaching for National Curriculum objectives in several subject areas. This is a tried and tested approach that works well at primary school. Create a cyber-safety rainbow! Mathematicians for KS1

In this exciting computing topic Year 1 and Year 2 children will learn about the key figures of Ada Lovelace and Alan Turing and the fields of mathematics in which they worked. Compare modern-day and older technologies for calculating and programming and create a model mathematical function machine. Children will photograph patterns in the environment and use and create algorithms for common daily tasks. Finally, they will create and de-bug algorithms to solve ‘Bee-Bot’ problems.

Computational Thinking and Creativity for KS2

This engaging topic will help Year 5 and Year 6 children understand the timeline of the main developments of the World Wide Web since its invention. Learn about the great creative minds and internet entrepreneurs who have contributed to its biggest innovations; Be inspired and solve your own challenges; Create web pages, develop a fantasy football database, use 3D modelling software, design a stop motion animation, devise your own computer game and much more.
