They will learn about the life of Jennifer Worth, the highs and lows of being a midwife in the 1950s. They will think about how nurses would have helped their patients based on medical developments of their time.

Poor teddy has a cold! Teddy talks about how he is feeling. Children will discuss other common illnesses and share experiences of being ill. They will learn that the best thing to do to avoid being ill is eating healthy foods. They will build a food tower and learn about super foods.

Children will find out what to do when they are hurt or suddenly ill. They will learn simple things everyone can do to help. Children will use the Red Cross Website to watch video clips and carry out activities. Children will re-enact simple scenarios and decide the best emergency action to take.
