With the great feedback we received on our inspirational Harry Potter revision block, we are excited to tell you more about our new Greek Myths and Percy Jackson revision units. More choice with revision – greater chance of monsters!
Our new block provides revision for all the grammar, punctuation and spelling necessary for the Year 6 SPaG tests, as well as reading, comprehension and writing activities within an inspirational term's work that follows the sequence of selected Greek Myths & Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. The final unit provides mock test papers and ideas to celebrate the achievements of your young heroes. The planning and resources are designed to be comprehensive, fun for your class and to save your Sundays.
This block covers the whole of Spring Term. You can teach it all or pick and mix.
Each unit provides:
- between 5- and 8-days’ planning
- focused grammar revision
- formal SATs-style comprehension activities
- reading and writing focuses linked to a genre
- stunningly illustrated resources, including grammar PowerPoints and posters
- quick-fire revision presentations using SATs format and wording

The block capitalises on children’s enthusiasm for the exciting and accessible novel, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, which you can read with your class as you teach the units. To provide a greater depth and variety of language, the comprehension activities use award-winning Ann Turnbull’s beautifully illustrated Greek Myths.
